Travel documents

Foreign visitors can stay in Croatia up to three months and they only need a valid passport or other travel document recognized by international agreement. We also kindly advise you that, for your own certainty, you should visit Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia (www.mvp.hr) and check the list of the foreign citizens that do not need a visa for tourist visit to Croatia. Children need their own traveling document or they can be registered in parent’s passport. Pets also need a valid vaccine document.

Currency

Domestic currency is Kuna (kn). There are 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000 kuna banknotes and 1, 2 and 5 kuna coins in circulation. 1 kuna consists of 100 lipa and there are 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 lipa coins. Foreign currency can be exchanged in all banks, post offices and tourist agencies as well as in the exchange offices. Most hotels and shops accept credit cards.
